1 Introduction

These SMS Terms and Conditions govern text message communications from Independent Electrical Contractors Inc. (Dallas Chapter), also referred to as IEC Dallas. IEC Dallas offers separate SMS communication categories based on the type of consent provided by the recipient.

Depending on the specific opt-in selected, SMS communications may include:

• Marketing SMS Communications: promotional messages regarding apprenticeship programs, enrollment opportunities, upcoming events, training opportunities, promotions, and other IEC Dallas offers.
• Transactional SMS Communications: informational messages related to an existing application or program participation, such as application confirmations and status updates, enrollment notifications, interview reminders, class schedules, deadlines, and other program-related notifications.

Marketing SMS consent and Transactional SMS consent are collected separately. Providing consent for one category of SMS communication does not automatically provide consent for the other.

2 Opt-In Consent

IEC Dallas only sends SMS communications to individuals who have provided consent for the applicable type of SMS communication.

When consent is collected through a web form, IEC Dallas uses dedicated SMS consent checkboxes that clearly identify the type of messages the individual is agreeing to receive.

Consent to receive SMS communications is not a condition of admission, enrollment, employment, or purchase.

Recipients will only receive the category of SMS communications for which they have provided the applicable consent.

3 Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on the type of communication and your interactions with IEC Dallas. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and service plan.

4 Opt-Out Process

You may opt out of SMS communications from IEC Dallas at any time by replying "STOP" to a message received from us.

After an opt-out request is processed, you will no longer receive SMS communications covered by that subscription unless you subsequently provide consent again.

5 SMS Communication Categories

Marketing SMS Communications may include information about apprenticeship programs, enrollment opportunities, upcoming events, training opportunities, promotions, and other IEC Dallas offers. Marketing messages will only be sent to individuals who have separately opted in to Marketing SMS communications.

Transactional SMS Communications may include application receipt confirmations, application or enrollment status updates, interview reminders, class schedules, deadlines, and other time-sensitive information related to an individual's existing application or program participation.

Opting in to Transactional SMS does not automatically opt you in to Marketing SMS, and opting in to Marketing SMS does not automatically opt you in to Transactional SMS.

6 Privacy and Use of Mobile Information

IEC Dallas takes your privacy seriously. Information collected through our SMS programs is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

SMS consent and mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

IEC Dallas may use service providers that support the operation and delivery of our SMS communications, such as telecommunications and messaging service providers, solely as necessary to provide those services.

7 Message and Data Rates

IEC Dallas does not charge recipients for participating in its SMS programs. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and service plan. IEC Dallas is not responsible for charges imposed by your mobile service provider.

8 Consent Records

IEC Dallas may maintain records relating to SMS consent and subscription preferences, including information regarding when and how consent was provided, subscription status, and opt-out requests. These records may be retained as reasonably necessary for the operation of our SMS programs and compliance purposes.

9 Changes to These Terms

IEC Dallas may update these SMS Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Where appropriate, significant changes may also be communicated through our website or other available communication channels.

10 Service Availability

SMS delivery is subject to the availability and operation of mobile networks, telecommunications providers, and messaging platforms. IEC Dallas is not responsible for delayed, failed, or undelivered messages resulting from circumstances outside its reasonable control.
